"Workshop 1" Impression of ESR Safi Ur Rehman Qamar

"The workshop conducted by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) on October 5-6, 2023, left a lasting impression on me. It was a well-organized and informative event that brought together experts from various fields to share their knowledge and insights.

Dr. Reyhaneh Shirazi's presentation on drug properties and available coating processes based on DCB requirements was enlightening. Her expertise from Boston Scientific Ireland added a practical dimension to the discussion, and I gained a deeper understanding of the intricacies involved in drug-coated balloons.

Dr. Tzafriri's session on prototypes of drug/material evaluation was particularly insightful. Learning about the cutting-edge research and developments in this field from CBSET, USA, was inspiring and left me with a sense of the exciting possibilities in the future of medical technology.

Mohammad Akrami's talk on analytical methods to characterize drug/material candidates was intellectually stimulating. The discussion around innovative techniques and their applications in characterizing materials was eye-opening, and I appreciated the international perspective he brought from the University of Montpellier, France.

Dr. Kostomistopolous's presentation on the introduction to animal welfare ethics and law was an important reminder of the ethical considerations in medical research. It emphasized the need to conduct research responsibly and ethically, and I found it to be a valuable addition to the workshop.

Finally, Dr. Galyfos's session on diagnosing and treating peripheral arterial disease was both informative and practical. His expertise from NKUA, Greece, provided valuable insights into the medical aspects of the workshop's theme, and I left with a better understanding of the challenges and advancements in this area.

Overall, the workshop organized by NKUA was a well-rounded event that covered a diverse range of topics related to drug-coated balloons, materials evaluation, ethical considerations, and medical practices. The knowledge shared by the speakers was not only informative but also thought-provoking, making this workshop a truly enriching experience. I would like to express my gratitude to NKUA and all the speakers for their valuable contributions."
