Partner BioIRC at the 21st International Conference on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering (BIBE2021)

Partner BioIRC, participated in the 21st IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering (BIBE2021), held from October 25–27, 2021 in Kragujevac, Serbia.

BIBE is a landmark event that brings together experts from bioinformatics and bioengineering — two complementary disciplines that are driving innovation in medicine, biology, agriculture, public health, and environmental science. The conference aims to foster advancements in understanding biological systems, developing new medical technologies, and improving disease prevention and treatment methods.

Conference paper:

M. Gacic, M. Kaplarevic and N. Filipovic, "Cost-effectiveness analysis of in silico clinical trials of vascular stents," 2021 IEEE 21st International Conference on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering (BIBE), Kragujevac, Serbia, 2021, pp. 1-5, doi: 10.1109/BIBE52308.2021.9635321.

This work highlights the potential of in silico (computer-simulated) clinical trials to improve cost-efficiency and accelerate innovation in vascular stent development — an exciting step forward in bioengineering and healthcare technologies.
