Career Planning and Goal Setting Workshop

On December 6, 2024, we hosted athe Career Planning and Goal Setting Workshop online, organized by our partner, EXEL. This workshop aimed to guide participants in navigating the journey from research to entrepreneurship, shedding light on the challenges and barriers that may arise while also offering strategies to overcome them.

Key topics included the critical role of women in research, promoting gender equity in health, and exploring opportunities and resources provided by IEEE Young Professionals. The session also underscored the importance of setting clear career goals and developing actionable plans to achieve them.

The workshop featured distinguished lecturers with extensive experience in both academia and industry. They provided a wealth of knowledge, sharing insights into the complexities of transitioning to entrepreneurial ventures and addressing systemic barriers in research and innovation. The speakers generously shared their personal stories, offering a candid look at the obstacles they faced, the lessons they learned, and the strategies that contributed to their success.
